Magnum KSAFA Super League: Brown’s Town outclass Mountain View
Brown’s Town FC utilised their scouting lessons well to ambush Mountain View 4-0 in their Magnum KSAFA Super League football match at Constant Spring.
The winners came out firing at the weekend and had all but wrapped up the contest just after the half hour with a 3-0 advantage that they took into half-time.
“After seeing Mountain View play on Tuesday night we went to the training session on Wednesday and Thursday and I told my team that if we just keep this football and knock it around there’s no way Mountain View could beat us and we did that,” admitted Dwayne ‘Bruckie’ Blake, head coach of Brown’s Town.
The win, secured with a double strike apiece by Ryan and Romone Lewis, gave Brown’s Town their second victory in as many matches.
In Saturday’s Zone A matches, Real Mona FC condemned Constant Spring to their second loss in as many matches, beating them 1-0, while in a matchup among former kingpins, Boys’ Town defeated Santos FC 1-0. Claude Allen scored for Real Mona at the eighth minute, while Boys’ Town secured victory courtesy of Shaquille Bradford.
On Sunday, both Magnum KSAFA Super League matches ended in 1-1 scorelines. In the opening game, Mark Malcolm scored at the 88th minute to give Maxfield Park FC what appeared the winning goal against Meadforest FC. However, Meadforest FC did not give up and were rewarded with a 90th-minute equaliser from Dillon Edwards.
In the feature matchup, Andrew McLeod scored a last-gasp equaliser for Molynes United FC to earn them a share of the spoils in the big clash against champions Barbican FC, for whom Ryan Brown scored at the 29th minute.
